Trusted information, since 2018

The experience and relationships behind SA1 Property were built over decades, but the work began in 2018. Steady growth in customers, geographies covered, and sectors analysed has led to SA1 Property now operating in the Industrial and Living Sectors.

2018

SA1 Property is formed to enable investors, developers and agents to access authoritive information on the industrial market, in one place.

Savills Australia New Zealand is our first National Agency, and is followed by our first institutional client in December.

2020

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic spikes demand for industrial assets. Investor and developer activity increases along with demand for reliable information about the industrial market. The Platform's growth accelerates and is supported by a partnership with Esri including an upgrade to the technology platform used.

2021

SA1 Property introduces the Location Rating System, a new approach to quickly benchmark locations on their performance of a wide variety of logistics activities. This approach has since been extended to benchmark access to labour.

Adoption of the industrial platform continues to grow and SA1 Property gains its first Government client.

2022

SA1 Property gains its first freight logistics user.

SA1 Property forms a partnership with Aerometrex to include high-quality imagery with the SA1 Industrial Platform.

2023

Colliers joins SA1 Property as a second National Agency client.

2024

SA1 Property gains its first overseas domiciled customer.

SA1 Living, a new venture founded earlier in the year with Peter Bell, launches a platform in October providing a solution for the Living Sectors. The existing business related to the Industrial Sector is branded SA1 Industrial.

Pete Bell is a highly regarded researcher, analyst and strategist with diverse experience across the residential and alternative asset real estate sectors. He is passionate about combining his skills in geospatial analysis, town planning, economics, human behaviour and business strategy to drive improved commercial decision making.

Joining SA1 Property in 2024, Chantel is a sales and customer success leader with experience in building client relationships in growing businesses. Chantel's background includes experience working with retailers, REITs, CRE agencies, and government entities.

Stephen Clark

Director, Location Intelligence

The analysis of how location gives an advantage in property is Stephen's primary role at SA1 Property. Stephen has over 20 years of practical experience producing innovative outcomes in the fields of spatial analysis and spatial information systems across multiple industries including commercial property, where he met Aaron Bates and co-founded SA1 Property. Stephen works with SA1 Property's sector experts to maximise the intelligence available to platform clients when they are looking at a location of their choosing, or in the selection of a suitable location from many options.

Aaron Bates

Director, Property Strategies

Aaron has over 18 years of transaction experience, leading industrial teams at both CBRE and JLL and completing over $2.8 billion in deals across Australia. At SA1 Property, Aaron is focused on using deep data to help investors, developers, occupiers and agents identify opportunities, make fast and informed decisions, and execute their individual strategies.
